What you’ll do

Group Enterprise Technology Solutions

Our Group Enterprise Technology Solutions team keeps Europe’s biggest entertainment brand running smoothly by providing the digital technologies, tools and systems our colleagues need to work productively and collaboratively no matter where they are.

Our team is built around five core capabilities: Enterprise Resource Planning platforms; workplace solutions; enablement and automation; value stream realisation and governance; and transformation and change management

Event Setup and Support:

  • Lead the setup and management of broadcast-quality AV systems for live events.

  • Provide on-site technical leadership and promptly resolve issues.

System Maintenance:

  • Oversee maintenance and servicing of high-end AV equipment.

  • Ensure regular checks and updates on AV systems.

Technical Expertise:

  • Advise clients on advanced broadcast-quality AV solutions.

  • Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and trends.

  • Specialised knowledge of IBM Ustream, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate and manage multiple high-profile events.

  • Collaborate with event planners and stakeholders to meet technical requirements

What you’ll bring

Sky’s AV operations team are looking for a passionate and driven Event Engineer to join the team, this role requires a forward thinking and hands on approach, offering exceptional service to all levels of the business. Sky is a fast-paced environment, and you will be at the core of it.

  • A confident, friendly, approachable manner with a flexible, can-do attitude, collaborating for success.

  • Have exceptional organisational skills, ability to multi-task, have good time management and strong attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure, to tight time scales and enjoy understanding issues and problem solving.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); able to build effective relationships internally and externally.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in broadcast-quality AV systems, including sound, video, and lighting.

  • Proficient in AV control systems and live streaming technologies (IBM Ustream, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex).

Experience:

  • Experience in AV event engineering, with a focus on Corporate and Broadcast-quality events.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role.

  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D).
