As a key member of the Community Engagement Team, you’ll engage with members of Sky’s Community help forum to understand the issues they are having. With this understanding and your stakeholder network at Sky, you will use these conversations as opportunities to drive improvements to Sky products, projects or processes.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has experience in online Community engagement. This could be on other forums, Reddit, Social. Surprise us. You also need to have experience and a passion about online communities and the unspoken rules that empower them.

You will be fully immersed in driving forward the Sky Community, community advocacy and relevancy within the business, with the support of the wider Community Engagement Team. 

What you'll do:

  • Engage with and moderate members and discussions on Sky’s external Community help forum.
  • Work alongside other Community Engagement Specialists and Moderators.
  • Be a leader in Community best practice and always keep up to date on developments in tools, platforms, and technology.
  • Build relationships with key Community members (Superusers).
  • Build and maintain working relationships with specialist teams within Sky (e.g. Product Development) to ensure relevant information is shared from us-to-them through Listening and from them-to-us for crucial project launches.
  • Monitor and report on performance of the Community versus agreed KPIs on an on-going and ad-hoc basis.
  • Build a culture of true collaboration within the team, across a digital department and across the business
  • Be resilient, sometimes it takes a long time to shift stakeholders in their thinking and to make appreciable changes in our products/services.

What you'll bring:

  • Professional experience in an online Community
  • A passion for customers, driving customer and user experience at the heart of everything that you deliver.
  • Analytical skills to detect a trend within the Community and be able to tell a convincing story to stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to think outside-of-the-box.
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • The ability to work independently but also part of a team.
  • Ideas, and you’ll want to share them.
