What you'll do:

• Design, develop and augment correlation rules within Splunk Enterprise Security based on cognitive use cases.
• Develop, design and implement SIEM infrastructure deployments and orchestration within a multisite cluster environment.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, troubleshoot issues with log sources and systems with vendor, and report system defects as required.
• Recognise and understand relevant use cases to onboard new data sources into SIEM and build, develop and design dashboards highlighting key trends.
• Perform software upgrades, updates, patches and health checks as required.
• Review L1, L2 and L3 SOC activities with a view to automate, enhance or augment human capability where possible.

What you'll bring:

• Splunk Administration or Architect Certificate Level highly desirable
• Experience of content development, correlation rule building, onboarding log data and managing ingest pipelines.
• Familiarity of performing actions via REST API's and experience with developing in HTML, XML, CSS, Bash, JAVA and Python scripting
• Personal research for information security (white papers, attack vectors, security advisories, vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques).
• Experience with AWS and Google cloud computing services and Microservices architecture highly desirable.
