The Senior Manager of Cyber Security will be responsible for developing and implementing cyber security tools, processes and solutions to protect the Organisation’s data, systems, networks, and other assets from unauthorised access. This position will also lead efforts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to information security.

What you'll do

  • Developing and implementing cybersecurity tools, processes, and solutions that meet all legal requirements as well as industry best practices

  • Supporting the creation of policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and controls for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organizational data assets.

  • •Supporting incident response activities where required, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, reporting, follow-up actions, and root cause analysis.

  • Managing third-party vendors providing cybersecurity services.

  • Supporting risk assessment initiatives by identifying risks associated with new technologies or processes prior to implementation within the organization's environment.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to information security (e.g., GDPR, PCI, TSA).

  • Creating reports on cybersecurity metrics for senior management review on a regular basis.

  • Staying abreast of current trends in cybersecurity technology and recommending solutions that can improve overall system protection levels.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in managing teams in the design, deployment and support of enterprise-scale security solutions

  • Knowledge of Operating systems internals, hardening, and monitoring (Windows, MacOS and UNIX).

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (shell, python) and/or automation tooling is a plus

  • Experience of designing, implementing and supporting big data pipeline and datalake solutions to support enterprise logging and monitoring requirements

  • Experience of Cyber Security Detection, Prevention and Monitoring technologies such as EDR, NDR and Network Security

  • Excellent communication skills with technical and senior stakeholders

  • Relevant security certifications such as OSCP, ISC2 CISSP, SANS, CEH, etc. are a major plus

  • Ability to carefully document your work so others in the team can easily understand and build upon it.

  • Experience and track record in managing and leading teams to grow and achieve their goals, whilst delivering shared organisational objectives.
