Data Analyst - Anti-Piracy

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Anti-Piracy Team who will support our Anti-Piracy lab, investigators and intelligence teams with insights gained from analysing company and 3rd party data. The ideal candidate will be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods using a variety of data tools. 

They should have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights as well as being comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. 

What you’ll do: 

• Ensuring data is accurate, complete, and properly formatted  

• Using statistical tools to identify patterns and trends in data  

• Creating charts, graphs, and dashboards to represent data analysis results  

• Presenting findings to stakeholders in reports, dashboards, and visualizations  

• Identifying business challenges and formulating data-driven solutions  

• Working with programmers, engineers, and data scientists to improve processes  

• Creating documentation so stakeholders can understand the data analysis process  

• Staying up to date with industry trends and new analytical techniques  

• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. 

• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. 

What you’ll bring: 

• A strong analytical mindset, proficiency in querying and manipulating large datasets, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. 

• Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders utilising BigQuery, Tableau, Looker Studio alongside Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other Cloud providers. 

• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, SLQ, SPLUNK etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. 

• Experience working with and creating data architectures. 

• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques 

• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages 

• Understanding distributed data/computing tools
