Demand Planner - Sky Sports Production

The Demand Planner role is a key part of the Planning and Performance Analysis team in Sports Production. This team is integral to the operational running of Sky Sports, working closely with Content and Production teams on forward planning, communications and initiatives to further Sky Sports’ vision as the most inclusive and innovative sports business in Europe.
As Demand Planner you will build, maintain and communicate Sky Sports’ demand forecast to enable effective budget planning & resourcing. Excellent relationship building, proactiveness and problem solving is a key skill you need to have.
What You'll Do:
- Building and maintaining the Sky Sports resource demand forecast (Events and their related facilities and crews) for a portfolio of Sports.
- Leading regular meetings with Production & Content teams to ensure seamless production planning processes, by gathering production plans and updating our production planning system with the latest information.
- Building the Salesforce reports for operational and business requirements.
- Consolidating, formatting & presenting large amounts of data in a straightforward way.
- Forecasting and analysis to support the financial modelling of key cost drivers.
- Working with the wider team to review workflows and make improvements.
- Resourcing system (PlanIt) trainer & superuser, including system housekeeping, UAT & issue reporting.
- Doing the project work as required on key projects geared towards continuous process improvement.
- Helping to maintain a culture where we continually challenge and question how we work.
- Collaborating with the Production team to ensure our systems meet changing business requirements.
What You'll Bring:
- Exceptional attention to detail, comfortable learning various IT systems.
- Time management, organisation, ability to prioritise.
- The ability to proactively tackle challenges and seek the information you need to achieve your objectives.
- Ability to Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at different levels with the department.
- Outstanding people skills with the ability to influence others.
- Being curious – happy to learn, question & problem solve in a logical way.
- An interest in and knowledge of Sky Sports’ output.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel & Salesforce is highly beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of production methods highly beneficial but not essential.
- The integrity to handle sensitive data in the best interests of the business.
