The Development Co-ordinator in the Sky Originals Drama team supports the wider Commissioning Team, reporting into the Head of Development for Drama. The role is one of three Development Co-ordinators who support the team’s proactive development work, with a key role in managing incoming submissions, working into the Commissioning Editors and Executive Producers.
What you’ll do
Read and assess project submissions in line with the Sky Originals Drama creative strategy, while managing internal systems and tracking new ideas from books, podcasts and theatre.
Work closely with the Head of Development and Commissioning Editors to identify promising concepts and provide thoughtful, candid feedback on unsuccessful submissions.
Contribute to projects already in development and occasionally attend external pitches or project meetings.
Maintain strong organisational oversight, including compiling clear meeting minutes and supporting diary management for core team members.
Demonstrate a strong interest in storytelling across film and TV, with experience in creatively evaluating material and understanding the TV development landscape.
Bring useful knowledge of the Book‑to‑TV adaptation process.
Minimum requirements
Proven experience working in a Development Assistant role or at a literary agency is preferred.
Experience reading scripts and books and writing coverage.
Administrative experience and strong organisational skills.
Experience with AirTable is desirable
