What you’ll do: 

  • Reporting to the Digital Sales Controller, the Digital Audio Sales Manager is a new role responsible for delivering audio advertising revenues in all forms and must successfully navigate, and lead where possible, changes underway in the digital audio world. 

  • Develop market knowledge and sales skills in selling and trading all digital audio platforms including Spotify and YouTube 

  • Identify strategic opportunities to take Sky’s Audio inventory to market in new and creative ways – packaging with live events, social media, newsletters and/or other formats that feel aligned 

  • Work closely with the Sky News editorial team to create a roadmap of key moments to build sponsorship offerings around 

  • Act as an internal champion, intelligently articulating all digital audio ad opportunities available  

  • Collaborate with different sales teams across the Sky Media business to ensure best in class representation and service to our customers in order to maximise digital ad revenues for Sky Media 

  • Out-perform revenue targets – manage pipeline, accurately forecast. 

  • Proactively pitch for new revenue from non-spenders and create reactive proposals in response to advertiser briefs, ensuring response to brief is timely, creative, innovative and effective. 

  • Delivering an on brand, high standard of sales collateral and brief response 

  • Track market trends and educate the business as and when changes are required 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Excellent sales skills with a strong track record of delivering against revenue targets. 

  • Significant experience in the digital media industry, with specific knowledge of the digital audio sector. 

  • Understanding of sponsored editorial, branded content models, and preferably sponsored event opportunities. 

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and identify future technologies and commercial opportunities. 

  • Strong understanding of the media planning and buying process. 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers in both client and agency environments. 

  • Experience in managing targets and delivering creative, effective solutions.
