What you'll do
As an Experience Visioning Strategist, you’ll help research and imagine possible future scenarios to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning. This is a Band 4 developmental role, ideal for someone early in their strategy, research or futures career who is curious, collaborative and eager to learn.
Horizon scanning: contribute to desk research on culture, behaviour and technology, helping to spot signals and longer-term drivers of change.
Research with customers and experts: support research activities that ground futures work in lived customer experiences and diverse expert perspectives.
Analysis and frameworks: take part in analysis to make sense of evidence, help apply frameworks and draw out insights about emerging futures that matter for tomorrow’s customers.
Scenario development: contribute to the creation of stories, scenarios, personas, provocations and prototypes that bring multiple possible futures to life, rooted in evidence.
Workshops: support colleagues in designing and delivering workshops that make futures work engaging and collaborative.
Communication and influence: listen deeply to customers, experts, colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute to clear and engaging communication in writing, speaking, visuals, workshops, or other formats. Support the team in making futures thinking useful, accessible and relevant to decision-makers across Product, Design, Engineering and Strategy.
Collaboration: contribute to strengthening how we work as a team by being curious and empathetic, sharing your knowledge, learning from others, and giving and receiving feedback in constructive ways.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: foresight visioning, futures thinking, business strategy, or a role involving futures research to inform strategic decisions.
A curiosity and insight into how changes in society, culture, behaviour, and technology could shape everyday life at home.
Strong understanding of how research and futures thinking can influence business or product decisions—gained through commercial experience or academic projects (e.g. degree placements or exercises).
Qualitative research skills: confident in gathering and interpreting insights from customers and subject matter experts.
Excellent communication skills: empathetic, collaborative, and able to listen, synthesise diverse perspectives, and communicate clearly—both in writing and speaking.
Digital fluency: comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), online whiteboards like Miro or FigJam, and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar.
