Job Purpose: The Group Response Operations Manager will lead the Group Response & Intelligence Centre operations team, ensuring the effective monitoring and response to security incidents globally. This role involves overseeing the daily operations, operational planning, development and continuous improvement of the GRIC, ensuring the safety and security of the organisation's assets, employees, and operations.

What you’ll do:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of intelligence analysts, ensuring high performance and professional development and ensure support is in place for out of hour requests when required.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team in the creation and enhancement of intelligence products.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Intelligence Product Development:

  • Design and develop comprehensive intelligence products tailored to the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Ensure intelligence products are timely, accurate, and actionable.
  • Continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of intelligence outputs.

Process Implementation and Improvement:

  • Implement new processes and methodologies to support and enhance the Intelligence program.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to optimise intelligence operations.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.

Threat Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of live and future security threats affecting Sky’s operations.
  • Provide expert assessment and reporting on threats related to stakeholders that may include supply chain management, breaking news, Productions, sport events, future operations, and real-time incidents.
  • Develop and maintain threat assessment models and tools.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to understand their intelligence needs.
  • Deliver tailored intelligence briefings and reports to high-risk and corporate travellers, senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external intelligence and security organisations.

Complex Analysis:

  • Support the team to perform complex analyses to identify key issues even when critical information is ambiguous.
  • Interpret trends, patterns, or ambiguity in complex information to provide actionable intelligence.
  • Utilise analytical tools and methodologies to support decision-making processes.

Program Support:

  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of Sky’s Intelligence program.
  • Ensure the alignment of intelligence activities with organisational objectives and priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Form part of an OOH escalation capability in support of GRIC intelligence function

What you’ll bring:

  • Ideally the successful candidate would hold an industry qualification in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a 24/7 Global Security Operations Centre preferably in a global or multi-site context.
  • Travel Risk Management and incident response experience
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, systems, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP) or membership to a professional Industry body are highly desirable.
