Group Risk Investigator (12 Month FTC)

This is an exciting role to build on Sky’s investigation function reporting into the Group Risk Investigations Manager, as well as working closely with our colleagues in HR Investigations, Employee Relations, and Compliance both in
the UK and overseas. You will support our corporate response to criminal investigations involving Sky, as well as complex investigations involving whistleblowing activity under the Sky Listens programme. This role will offer the opportunity to work with key stakeholders and senior management roles as well as liaising with Law Enforcement.
As a Group Risk Investigator you will independently investigate our complex cases, at all levels of the company. You will scope, plan and complete thorough, fair and comprehensive investigations according to company processes
and policies. You will ensure investigations are concluded within appropriate timescales and when drawing your conclusions, you will make recommendations to the business around conduct proceedings, policy changes or other business needs.
Please note this role is a 12 Month FTC.
What you’ll do:
- Manage investigations end to end including analysis of allegations, designing investigation and interviews plans, collect documentary evidence, conduct investigation meetings, and holding debrief meetings with stakeholders;
- Effectively and sensitively interact and communicate with individuals involved in the case, managing the expectations of business leaders and affected employees;
- Provide insight to stakeholders to assess issues / potential risks and make recommendation to reach balanced solutions, and challenge assumptions when required;
- Manage a caseload of multiple investigations and prepare and maintain appropriate case files/documentation for each, including timely maintenance and updating of appropriate Security systems in line with data protection protocols;
- Make objective and sound findings and provide recommendations and advice regarding corrective action as well as recommendations for internal improvements.
- Be prepared to attend criminal and tribunal court proceedings
- Liaise with business interests, trade associations, law enforcement and government to develop and foster relationships.
