What you'll do

The successful engineer will be responsible for overseeing Technology elements of weekly moves & changes which take place across the Sky offices throughout the Elstree Sky Studios campus and southern based remote office locations. You will also be responsible for monitoring and actioning requests and incidents via the Service Now Spark support application. Finally, you will be expected to undertake Data Centre based auditing tasks set out by the team:

• Network Infrastructure moves & changes
• Telecommunications Infrastructure moves & changes
• Data Centre (FDR) room maintenance tasks
• 3rd Party Escorting into secure areas
• Racking & stacking of server equipment
• Auditing of Technology assets
• Administrative tasks including raising work tasks, quotes, access requests & change management

What you'll bring

• Demonstrable skills in moves and changes e.g. a proven track record in Telephony and cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a etc network cabling
• Demonstrable basic skills in IT support e.g. a proven track record in 1st or 2nd line support roles
• Labour intensive work qualifications e.g. working at height and manual handling
• Demonstrate computer literacy skills e.g. working with Word, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
• Excellent time management
• Excellent communication skills
• Skilled in motivation and influencing
• Good organisational skills

Your primary office space - Elstree

Our Elstree Campus is a 30-minute walk from Elstree & Borehamwood train station however you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from site. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers available as well as a multi-storey car park available for staff. An array of catering options are dotted throughout the campus including a subsidised restaurant in The Hub building
