This role in sits within the Customer Service Group which is responsible for delivering all aspects of the Sky customer service proposition

What you’ll do:

“The Insight team within Customer Service Group (CSG) at Sky provides timely, actionable, and high-quality customer, employee, market and competitor insight to help leaders make the right business decisions to fundamentally shift how we operate at Sky. The successful candidate for this Market Intelligence role will deliver engaging, high-quality market and competitor insight to round out the view provided by our ongoing programme of customer and employee research and analysis. By joining the dots between them, we'll work together to make things better for our customers, our people and ultimately the business” – Head of Insight

  • Own the creation and execution of a market and competitor intelligence roadmap that helps leaders across Sky understand how other organisations operate and perform from an end-to-end customer experience perspective
  • Network with other organisations to bring learnings and best practice from global telecoms, media and customer experience sectors back into Sky
  • Work closely with Research and Customer Insight managers within the Insight team to provide holistic answers to business questions, bringing together customer, employee and competitor trends and perspectives to tell the whole story
  • Work with senior leadership to understand strategic and operational insight priorities and support strategic thinking, influencing stakeholders to make the right insight-led decisions within Customer Service Group based on latest competitor insight and market trends
  • Role model thought leadership activity for the wider Insight team, coaching and developing strategic thinking and competence within the team and working virtually with data, performance and insight teams across wider Sky
  • Partner with stakeholders and their teams, building strong relationships in order to support and influence key decisions, creating 'skin in the game' as a business partner.
  • Play an active part to support and drive broader departmental initiatives to make employee experience in our team and department the best it can be.

What you bring:

  • Exceptional communication & presentation skills, with the ability to construct a clear story and present complex data in a concise, simplified & visually appealing way to senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills - Understanding of the wider telecoms, media and customer experience market and competitive landscape, and experience of working across a variety of organisations and sectors
  • Proven stakeholder engagement & influencing skills with the ability to take initiative, making your voice heard and playing an active role in change to Director level
  • A natural inquisitiveness & curiosity, with excellent problem-solving skills & proven analytical skills
  • strong critical & logical thinking
  • A high level of self-motivation and proactivity, taking ownership of your work and responsibility for your decisions
  • A passion for being an inclusive leader, & driving demonstrable impact on inclusivity agenda

Where you'll work:

Osterley

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
