The purpose of this role is to oversee the end-to-end content operations process for the reception, enrichment, finalisation and distribution of live content to be published on the new Sky Live Events platform. This role provides support to the content operation and monitoring of all systems involved in the Live Event delivery process from planning to distribution.
You will have control of the end-to-end systems for the reception and finalisation of the live feeds and their distribution to the publishing points. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all aspects of the system are functioning as expected and to take action to resolve or escalate in the event of an issue. This system delivers Live content internationally and communication of changes or alterations to events will be your responsibility ensuring that all platforms are in sync across the group and that the customer receives the best possible experience.
What you'll do
Scheduling and Resource Planning:
Using the schedule of events, you will configure the components of the system from end – end. Checking and verifying that the metadata is correct for the events and managing any last-minute changes to the schedule
You will ensure that all monitoring systems are running and all parts of the event chain are ready for the event to start
Monitoring and Control:
Once the events are underway you will monitor the live event content and all systems related to the publishing of the event and be ready to react should any problems occur
You will intervene and provide a solution or escalate to a relevant team if necessary
Content Management:
Safeguarding the customer experience by ensuring that the content has the correct graphics/title etc and taking corrective action.
Communication Hub:
As a central point of contact for the platform you communicate with all stakeholders to inform them of any platform issues
Should an event be delayed or extended you will communicate with all international stakeholders so that action may be taken to extend or close an event

Shift Pattern
You will be required to work from Monday to Sunday various shifts (depending on business objectives) for example: 7-day fortnight, Week 1 - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2 - Wed, Thu 12-hour days with hour break

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
