We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Service Analyst to join the Service Reliability Centre (SRC). You’ll be part of a team providing 24/7 x 365 support for Network issues relating to the Core, Access, Metro, Voice and Mobile infrastructure. You will be responsible for resolving Network incidents as well as carrying out NOC related BAU activities on over 40,000 network devices on a variety of vendor platforms.
What you'll do
Act as 24x7 central point of contact for Network issues
Monitor Network health and performance via Comarch and a range of supplementary tools including Grafana, SevOne, Splunk, in-house Dashboards, platforms and scripts.
Trigger fault response by assessing and qualifying service impact, performing initial Triage for first line diagnostics and raising fault tickets to track investigations
Ensure all faults are investigated in a timely manner and are solved within agreed SLA’s
Provide regular updates to ticketing systems whilst progressing incidents through to resolution.
Assist with developing internal tooling and automation systems.
Proactively improving service quality, including identifying and leading strategies for quick service restoration.
Develop technical expertise including domain based technology skills and also automation skillset development.
The role is varied, fast paced, exciting and a perfect opportunity to get an insight into and gain knowledge of various networking technologies, all of which you will use to help maintain and repair one of the most advanced networks in the UK.
Work closely with vendor or supplier support teams for any Operational issues which require external escalation
Repairing any faults within our domain, raising others to and co-ordinating with external/internal teams
Keeping up to date with new and emerging technologies within the industry and sky’s network
What you'll bring:
Proven interest in Networking and a self-directed learner.
You’ll have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated and a team player

You’ll have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
You’ll be expected to work a shift pattern which will involves days, nights and weekends
You’ll also have the ability to remain calm, composed, diplomatic and co-operative under stressful situations
Desirable: Experience with a communications provider, networking or in a monitoring environment CCNA / Knowledge of Networking protocols such as BGP, ISIS, MPLS
