Reporting into the Operations Manager at Sky Studios Elstree, the Operations Coordinator will be a motivated individual, excited by the challenges faced by feature and HETV productions. They will be keen to work in a fast moving and high-pressured environment that values problem solving skills and exceptional service.
As a key part of the Operations team, who are integral to the smooth running of the Studios, the individual will be passionate about ensuring the provision of a best-in-class service to all site users.
Energetic, well organized and capable of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary site team, they will occupy a vital position providing administrative and organisational support to the Operations team.
How you'll work:
- Providing administrative, organisational and practical support to the Operations team across all aspects of site operations, reporting and task tracking
- Supporting the Operations team in conducting pre-arrival and post-departure checks of client areas
- Working directly with clients to set up and maintain client spaces in line with production requirements for all areas of activity; including delivering, setting up and removing furniture and equipment for productions using the Studios
- Inspecting and recording the condition of Studio spaces, furniture, equipment and materials, reporting and tracking damage and loss where identified. Working with facilities and client services to ensure that this loss & damage is quoted to clients in a timely manner.
- To assist in directing and coordinating the placement of production support facilities and vehicles around site, and to monitor and track production use of external areas for H&S and revenue generating purposes
- Liaising and assisting as required with the Client Services and Facilities teams to ensure studio facilities are prepared for client arrival/departure and client needs are met
- Liaising and assisting with Facilities teams
- Using studio operational and resource management systems where relevant and appropriate (e.g. iAuditor, Momentus, Box, Tableau)
- Working with, overseeing, and directing the activities of the Future Talent trainees and runners where relevant
- Continuously looking for ways to improve operational efficiency at the Studios
- Continuously striving to ensure sustainability across in the Operation of Sky Studios Elstree and across all productions using the Studios, providing relevant guidance and business support wherever possible
- To carry out any other general client focussed operational support duties around site as directed by the Operations team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility
- Any other appropriate tasks as requested by management
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated production experience and/or a strong understanding of the operational aspects of production and sound stages.
- Knowledge of HETV/Film industry and studio facilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability work under pressure and interact with clients
- Effective team player within a multi-disciplinary team, and able to work independently with confidence
- The role will involve a reasonable amount of physical activity and manual handling, all necessary H&S training will be provided to ensure duties can be carried out safely and effectively
- Valid driving license beneficial but not essential
- Flexible working hours – whilst we will typically work Mon-Fri, there may be times where earlier starts or Weekend working is required across the team to manage Client requirements
