Company Overview:

Sky Protect is new innovative provider of Smart home insurance in the UK.  We launched in 2023 and have become the 2nd fastest growing insurer in the UK. As we continue to refine our online sales expertise, we will be launching our Outbound sales capability in Q2 2024.  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Outbound Sales Manager to lead, grow and optimise this sales channel. This role will report into the Sky Protect Head of Operations but have a close working relationship with our trading team. 

What you’ll do:

Supplier Management:

  • Day to day management of our outsourced supplier to deliver an effective outbound sales campaign.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting continuous improvement and achievement of quality and conversion targets.
  • Review resourcing requirements and capacity plan to meet business plan

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective outbound sales strategies to drive revenue and achieve business objectives.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and to identify opportunities to optimise the channel
  • Work with our Commercial Trading team to identify and integrate new campaigns to the channel
  • Work with Trading to build a sales and conversion toolkit for the channel

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure agents and outsourcer are adhering to sales scripts and quality frameworks to ensure good customer outcomes.
  • Ensure all outbound sales activities adhere to FCA regulations and internal policy.
  • Work closely with Sky Protect compliance and legal to stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary adjustments to process.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the leadership team.
  • Implement performance improvement plans with the supplier.

Sales Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs within the sales team and develop programs to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions with team leaders and QA to improve team performance. Technology and Tools:
  • Gain an understanding of core systems to look at ways to improve or enhance the current process or develop change requests to develop these platforms.

Budget Management:

  • Collaborate with the trading department to manage and optimize the sales budget effectively.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, preferably in the home insurance industry.
  • Experience in an outbound sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and supplier management skills.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales technologies.

Where you’ll work:

This role is ideally based in Derby aligned to our call centre operation or Osterely London and able to travel to site as required (once per week).

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
