We’re looking for a Technical Producer to join the award-winning Sky News podcast team. We’re after someone who can bring creative flair to audio editing and production with the ambition to make our podcasts, including Electoral Dysfunction and Trump 100, stand out in a competitive field.
Sometimes, we'll be wanting the same enthusiasm and ideas for high quality sound design.
You will also work with our Podcast Video Producers to come up with treatments for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
You'll be someone at home with Audition and Premiere Pro - but also have impressive studio knowledge and be across the latest products and technology, including AI.
What you’ll do:
Make our shows sound brilliant - ensuring recordings are of the highest quality.
Work on post-production in audio and visual - with first class editing skills
Know how to enhance storytelling with sound design
Be able to problem-solve technical issues in studio and in post-production
Be across the changing technical landscape, especially AI
Experience of delivering products to broadcast-level quality
Build good relationships with other Sky News technical teams
What you’ll bring:
At least 2 years professional experience
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and other editing software.
Experience of running studios and sound design
Keen interest in changing trends across the audio industry
A portfolio of work to show the skills above
Be able to collaborate with producers across the department and with colleagues across Sky News on bigger projects
Ability to run your own time on concurrent projects
