Sky News is looking for a producer to make innovative, agenda setting video reports for our platforms. We are looking for a candidate who can think outside of the box and produce striking video content on a range of subject matters with a particular focus towards digital audiences. 

Working alongside our Home News correspondents in London and across the UK, you will produce original, premium stories that align with Sky News’s ambition to deliver quality, independent journalism. You need to be an experienced journalist with demonstrable experience in producing multi-platform video content. You need to show us evidence of strategizing to make stories of consequence that have led to real world change. We also want someone capable of mentoring others in the Home News team to help bring on the next generation of producers.

Reporting to the Editor, Multi-Platform Planning, this position is based with the Home News Planning team in Osterley. It will require some travel around the UK and occasional out of hours work according to the needs of the story. It is a one-year fixed term contract. A driving licence is essential.

  • Lead the production of original, high-impact journalism across Sky News platforms.

  • Collaborate with correspondents and teams to shape stories with strategic value and long-term impact.

  • Produce compelling digital-first video content, tailored for web, social, and TV.

  • Work across platforms to ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling.

  • Support and mentor less experienced producers, sharing expertise and editorial insight.

How you'll work: 

 

You’ll be part of a collaborative, fast-moving team focused on producing original journalism with impact. Working Monday to Friday (or Monday to Thursday on a nine-day fortnight), you’ll help shape stories across platforms—TV, digital, and social. You’ll be expected to lead on projects, support less experienced producers, and contribute to a culture of creativity, quality, and strategic thinking. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
