Product Design Lead

We’re always looking for ways to make things better, and our next set of opportunities is taking shape. As a Lead Product Designer in our digital customer experience design team, you’ll help us craft world-class customer experiences and build a thriving design team and culture.
You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Sky to deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers in the UK & Ireland, taking the lead on transforming sales and service experiences across sky.com and the My Sky App. You’ll be working within an agile environment, building knowledge and bringing expertise to specific values streams within our consumer portfolio.
What You’ll Do- Lead design, from inception to delivery, for sales and service experiences across sky.com and the My Sky App, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
- Identify and apply customer insights to build comprehensive design solutions, with a focus on delivering value for our customers.
- Organise and moderate discovery workshops, design sprints and design spikes to solve complex business and customers problems.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, product owners, architects and engineers to ensure solutions address all business, user, and technical requirements, iterating as necessary.
- Ensure the delivery of all solutions is well planned, risks are highlighted, and quality is maintained.
- Contribute to major decisions that shape the principles and structure of Sky UI.
- Work with the Head of Design to help develop, refine, and scale the practice of design across our organisation.
- Manage design project prioritisation and planning, as well as design resource allocation for the value stream you are working on.
- Develop our in-house and agency design team aligned to the value stream, growing their skills and capabilities and influencing the virtual team’s overall direction.
- Experience of delivering digital products, services and experiences across responsive web and native applications.
- You're an advocate of a user-centred design, integrating customer insights and needs in all project stages.
- You'll have a deep understanding of Design Systems and how they contribute to the overall design workflow.
- Along with experience of how design supports experimentation and optimisation in a commercial and agile environment.
- You deliver creative visual design that blends both brand aesthetics and usability.
- You've worked in teams alongside engineers and product owners, thinking holistically about solutions that satisfy business, user and technical requirements.
- You're an authority in Figma and have experience in other related software.
- You can work on different initiatives, negotiate deadlines and manage expectations, as well as set a realistic plan without affecting the quality of delivery.
- You're flexible and resilient - your craft is important, but you can work with others and adapt based on evolving business demands.
The Customer Experience Centre of Excellence provides CX Strategy, UX & UI design expertise, as well as CX performance and governance across multiple product roadmaps for the UK & Ireland. Where you’ll work:Osterley
Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town, and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There’s also plenty of parking, bike shelters and showers.
