Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, SkyQ to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate.

We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.

And we do it all right here at Sky.

Role intro

Join the team as a Product Designer, to help shape the future of our Global Commerce experiences across mobile, web and TV interfaces. You’ll be part of the team behind our award-winning digital products, pushing boundaries and setting new standards. If you thrive on pace, love solving complex design challenges and want to work at the heart of the action, this is your chance to get involved.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end experiences, bringing the world of commerce and immersive content to millions of customers across mobile apps, web and TV.

  • Turn complex product and design challenges into simple, intuitive and emotionally engaging interfaces and designs that our customers and users will love.

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, UX researchers, data specialists and editorial partners to bring ideas to life at pace, taking work from early exploration through to polished, production-ready UI.

  • Explore and design for the future of Global Commerce, from personalised storefronts, engaging hooks, seamless checkout and manage experiences, mobile-to-TV interactions and experimental AI-powered features.

  • Create clear user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals that shape the next generation of digital experiences, ensuring a seamless experience across all platforms.

  • Drive forward the evolution of our shared design patterns and components, contributing to a coherent, scalable design system that supports both rapid delivery and creative innovation.

  • Play an active role in championing design quality, accessibility and user-centred thinking, helping maintain a strong, collaborative design culture.

What you'll bring/minimum requirements

  • Proven experience already working as a digital product designer (UX/UI), with day-to-day practice in UX and UI design and a track record of delivering work from early discovery through to high-quality visual execution.

  • A portfolio available for review at the point of application, demonstrating user-centred design thinking, clear problem-solving and high-quality work across mobile, web or multi-surface digital experiences.

  • Ability to produce user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and polished UI, using insights from user research and analytics to inform meaningful and considered design decisions.

  • Experience collaborating in iterative delivery environments (e.g., Agile), partnering effectively with engineers, product managers, UX researchers and other cross-functional roles.

  • Experience working with design systems, including contributing to, maintaining or evolving components and patterns to ensure scalable and consistent experiences across platforms.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders and contribute positively to collaborative team culture.

  • Awareness of emerging design and technology trends, with curiosity to explore new opportunities and bring fresh thinking into our Global Commerce experiences.

  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and a good understanding of accessibility principles.

These capabilities represent the minimum requirements needed to perform the role effectively and will be used as the basis for shortlisting and appointment decisions.

Team overview

Global Design

Organization: Global Design, within the Global Product Organization (GPO)

We design the experience at the heart of the home, weaving multiple vertical products into a single horizontal platform for partners, and a world-class in-home experience for customers.

Our full-stack design team encompasses UX & UI designers, industrial designers, content strategists and writers, user researchers, software engineers, and so much more — all focused on quality in even the tiniest details, so the sum total of the in-home experience is excellent for all customers.

Team: Global Commerce Design

The Commerce Design team sits within Global Design. We are a team of about 15 people across the US and UK who are responsible for in-product commerce experiences globally across Comcast, Sky and various syndication partners.

We build a scalable, world-class commerce ecosystem extending across TV interfaces, mobile apps, and web. As systems thinkers, we simplify complex challenges to create intuitive customer experiences. Grounded in user research, we balance customer needs with business goals and data insights to deliver effective solutions.

We embrace each other’s differences. We support our community and contribute to a sustainable future for our business and the planet.

If you believe in better, we’ll back you all the way.

Just so you know: if your application is successful, we’ll ask you to complete a criminal record check. And depending on the role you have applied for and the nature of any convictions you may have, we might have to withdraw the offer.
