We believe in better. And we make it happen.
Better content. Better products. And better careers.
Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, SkyQ to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate.
We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.
And we do it all right here at Sky.
What You’ll Do:
Subject Matter Expert: Become the go-to for insight on the customer experience; providing our partners with the information they require to make optimisation, delivery and strategy decisions
Passion about the customer: We need people obsessed with improving the customer experience through delivering actionable insight and working to understand the usage and performance of our products from the end users’ perspective.
SQL & Technical Skills: Previous experience of drawing actionable insights and managing datasets via SQL is essential, experience with Big Query preferable.
Communication & Story Telling: This is a data role but it is also a communications role. Data is useless if the end user cannot gain the knowledge they need from it. As such you will have a proven track record of being able to visualize complex data sets and break complex concepts down to simple actions or takeaways.
Creating & presenting Insights: Can write and present findings in a clear and convincing narrative, with demonstrable experience of influencing others as a trusted advisor
Managing partners: You are confident and comfortable working with a range of partners and different levels of seniority
Designing an analytical approach: Demonstrable experience of scoping technical approaches to address the business issue with logical thinking and an acute attention to detail from the outset.
Curiosity & Industry interest: Demonstrate a keen interest in the industry and awareness of recent trends in the market
Ability to work at pace: We are a technology company and the market in which we operate evolves fast. As such we need people that can take personal responsibility for workload and task management, ensuring effective use of time.
What You’ll Bring:
Focus areas for the role may include:
Performance of our “Platform Enhancers”; features that go beyond the Core TV experience to delight our customers, such as voice and personalisation.
The rewards
There's one thing people can't stop talking about when it comes to #LifeAtSky: the perks. Here’s a taster:
Sky Q, for the TV you love all in one place
The magic of Sky Glass at an exclusive rate
A generous pension package
Private healthcare
Discounted mobile and broadband
A wide range of Sky VIP rewards and experiences
