As a Project Manager within the Group Risk Office, you will be responsible for the management of key series of projects from the GL&I portfolio. The team are accountable for delivering high profile programmes and projects both from a technology and overall end to end delivery perspective, across key products such as broadband, mobile and telephony.
What you'll do:
Facilitate and drive key projects from the compliance portfolio, from the early stage of initiation through to go-live
Manage through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, scoping, planning, budget & forecasting, risk & Issue management and project closure.
Impact asses and plan against Sky’s wider technical roadmaps
Be an SME within the department, providing guidance and best practise on project delivery and performance for the team
Have flexibility in your approach. Familiar with multiple delivery methodologies, and able to deploy the most appropriate methods for the projects at hand
Be a self-starter, capable of working alone or in a small team, setting the agenda and driving progress forwards for your projects
What you'll bring:
Must hold or be capable of holding and maintaining UK Government security clearance
You will have a pragmatic result - and delivery- oriented attitude, with a track record of successful technical project delivery ideally in a similar industry to Sky
Have a good working knowledge in one of the following areas: Telecoms, Networking, Data Centre, Infrastructure
Some commercial acumen, covering vendor engagement and management, contracts, statements of work, procurement etc.
Experience required across all phases of the project lifecycle, familiarity with scoping & contractual activities a plus
Skilled in resource forecasting and capacity management of project resources, across a mixture of 3rd Party and internal resources
Skills as a good communicator and listener, who can translate messages and simplify and summarise problems in a straightforward and succinct manner.
Strong stakeholder management experience

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
