We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for a seasoned Reporting Data Engineer ready to elevate their career and play a pivotal role in enhancing our data capabilities. As an integral part of the Analytics team, this role offers the chance to leverage our vast array of data to drive strategic decisions and support the key decision-makers within Sky Ireland.

What you'll do

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs, and implement solutions that address those needs

• Collaborate with team members (data analysts, data scientists) to convert requirements to technical solutions, reports and data marts

• Design, implement, and maintain self-serve data marts that empower stakeholders with reliable and accessible data for reporting and advanced analytics.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data models, ensuring seamless and error-free deployments of data changes.

• Liaise with other data functions in Sky Group to guide and deliver strategic data solutions.

• Be part of a high-performing team that looks to influence both Trading and Strategic decisions within Sky.

• Develop strong relationships with the team’s stakeholders and be a key part of how the wider Sky team delivers on its goals and targets.

What you'll bring

• Extensive experience in a Data Engineering & Reporting capacity.

• Demonstrated experience in engaging with and advising business stakeholders.

• A keen interest and proven experience in understanding the underlying commercial context.

• Strong expertise in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift etc.

• Experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data pipeline construction.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, version control (e.g., Git), and automated testing frameworks for data.

• Demonstrated ability in implementing data governance and change management practices.
