This role is based in our new Group Reward Operations area, reporting into the Head of Group Reward Ops.

The Group Reward Operations Team at Sky is responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of Sky’s reward plans and policies. Our aim is ensure the delivery and development of reward solutions that drive performance and make Sky a great place to work. Our remit includes pay, bonus, share plans and benefits programmes across the business. These plans impact all employees across Sky and, the Reward Team ensures that these plans are designed and deliver to support Sky’s strategic Reward aims.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reward Operations Manager to provide support for compensation related activities, including; benchmarking, sizing roles, Salary Review, which will include budget process, system specification, pay and total compensation analysis across all areas of Sky and to lead the delivery of analytical and operational support for custom projects and broader reward for Sky overall. You will deliver this through the management of the Reward Operations team who are responsible for processing a broad range of activities including Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Global Mobility and Recognition.

What You'll Do:

  • Effectively lead, manage, engage, develop and empower your team to provide an outstanding service
  • As a member of the Reward Operations team, you’ll help us lead our compensation processes for Sky Group across 29,000 employees.
  • Run core processes with the Reward COE team, Business HR teams and Finance including the annual review cycle, analysing and preparing the budget proposal, system implementation and communication
  • Work with the Reward COE team ensure the implementation of strategic projects, contributing operational expertise to the development of new projects
  • Provide salary benchmarking and analysis for the Reward COE, including financial modelling and recommendations / options as necessary
  • Work closely with our third parties on salary surveys including the annual data submission process, survey developments and other market insights
  • Completing processes in line with our banding framework including sizing roles, delivering insight and supporting the management and maintenance of the framework
  • Working with the Reward COE and Business HR and other teams to support the management / resolution of operational reward issues
  • Providing detailed analysis and insight to support reward processes and decisions
  • Lead the delivery of Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap reporting, working with the Reward COE, the D&I team and Internal Communications teams to provide the analysis and complete the process
  • Handle ad hoc reward reporting, population data management and data uploads etc. liaising with the HRIS teams to streamline processes
  • Providing support to handle individual reward issues and transactions that are part of day to day business
  • Working with external providers to deliver recognition activities and Long service awards.
  • Proactively plan and handle resource levels to deliver against SLA’s and Quality measures.
  • Maintain compliance in all processes and adherence to CRSA and audit controls.

What You'll Bring:

  • Prior experience within a Reward function across a range of compensation activities is a must
  • Experience of leading an operational Team
  • In depth advanced Excel and data analysis skills combined with the ability to make insightful recommendations on what the data shows
  • Attention to detail and able to present data in a manner which is clear and easy to understand
  • Desire to grow and progress in line with the changing demands of the business
  • Ability to work with challenging and disparate data sources
  • Demonstrable skills in developing and maintaining relationships with internal partners and with 3rd party suppliers.
  • To be seen as a credible authority and to influence accordingly
  • Resilience, flexibility and energy to be effective in a fast paced and challenging environment which is going through significant organisational and cultural change
  • Undergraduate degree
  • CIPD qualification ideal
  • Experience of Workday desirable
