What you'll do 

• Advocate for and apply agile principles and practices within the team and wider organisation. Building a culture of continuous improvement. 

• Coach, mentor and develop one or more teams to high performance. 

• Your title will be ‘Scrum Master’ but you’ll do more than what it says on the tin – you’ll also be supporting the likes of planning, delivery, and release management for your team(s) to ensure timely delivery of a high-quality product 

• Working with the team(s), you’ll identify impediments to their progress and support them in resolving these in a timely manner. 

• Keeping open comms with other Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, etc. across Software Engineering, you will act as the primary point of contact for project status updates, ensuring clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels

What you'll bring 

• You’ll have extensive knowledge of (and experience with) various agile frameworks and know when to use them to their best effect. 

• A thirst for knowledge, always looking to further your understanding by researching the latest lean-agile techniques but never shy of pulling a classic out of the bag. 

• Having a thorough working understanding of the use of Jira and similar tools is beneficial. 

• Familiarity with SAFe is a bonus but not a showstopper. We’re looking for someone who can turn their hand to any framework and understand how it can be used to best support the team. 

• You’re a creative thinker. Not only will you be able to think “outside of the box” but you’ll enjoy trying to look at the box in entirely new ways; searching for ways to challenge what is with what could be. 

• You’re a born collaborator, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and build strong working relationships. 

• You’ll have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments whilst maintaining a positive attitude.

You’ll be at the heart of delivering the technology roadmaps that support our UK and Ireland businesses, with a focus on customer innovations for Sky Glass. That’s not all. You’ll also design, develop and deliver digital services for millions of customers across the UK.
