What you'll do
Advocate for and apply agile principles and practices within the team and wider organisation. Building a culture of continuous improvement
Support in the delivery of Sprints and progress towards PI Objectives by encouraging effective Squad collaboration and supporting the Squad to identify and overcome impediments
Coordinate dependencies within and outside the ART, at the next level of detail to the Release Train Engineer
Manage Squad level risks and issues, unblocking the squad impediments where required. If not able to resolve within the Squad, you will be confident in raising your issues to the RTE
Overall accountability for quality of test & release process within the squad
Track and communicate current progress and release targets with stakeholders in and out of the ART
Manage and facilitate the flow of work & stories through the Squad Kanban, managing the pipeline/intake of work, related releases and supports the Product Owner to accordingly prioritise and prepare the Squad backlog
Act as the Agile Coach (in alignment with the ‘Agile for Sky’ framework) and facilitate Squad ceremonies, and participate in ART ceremonies (e.g. Coach Sync, PI Planning etc.) improving performance and productivity using past performance and metrics (e.g. velocity etc.)
Support the preparation and facilitation of PI Planning by collaborating with other Scrum Masters and the RTE, and additional stakeholders as required
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on learning and problem-solving
What you'll bring
Growth mindset to continuously challenge the status quo and champion the new way of working
Proficient understanding of Agile development processes and frameworks at scale
Sufficient context of technology & business to lead the Squad and assist in problem solving and overcoming roadblocks
You’re a born collaborator, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and build strong working relationships
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments whilst maintaining a positive attitude
Having a thorough working understanding of the use of Jira and similar tools is beneficial
Ability to manage pressure at key milestones and protect and motivate the team during that period
Strong communication, inter-team conflict resolution, and leadership skills
2+ years experience in a Scrum Master role
Desirable: Scaled Agile experience
