Senior Business Manager - Strategy & Operations

Reporting into the Head of Business Strategy, the Senior Business Manager – Strategy & Operations is responsible for the effective and efficient running of business operations across Sky Studios editorial, marketing, partnerships and commercial finance teams, managing the end-to-end approval process and supporting Sky Studios business strategy and implementation.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the scripted approval process and central documentation/materials; continuously seeking to review and improve processes and workflows.

• Lead on Marketing operations for Sky Studios – working closely with, and supporting the Programme Brands team.

• Collate, analyse and assess key performance and broader business data for Sky Studios enabling informed decision making at every stage of the commissioning process.

• Collate and present regular Exec business review reports and KPI updates to help monitor and assess Sky Studios’ performance.

• Deputise Head of Business Strategy as required, ensuring alignment and collaboration in strategy implementation across Sky Studios (Operations, Production, Editorial, Marketing/Comms and Commercial) as well as Content, UK Marketing, Sky Creative.

• Change management/delivery of strategic and tactical projects as required.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in a senior strategy or operations role, preferably within the television industry.

• Good knowledge of end-to-end editorial, production and marketing processes.

• Analytical and problem solving skills.

• Robust commercial skills and overall financial understanding.

• Strong relationship management and outstanding communication skills.

• An interest in high-end Television.

Team Overview

Sky Studios is the home of Sky Original Drama and Comedy.  Our goal is to bring unmissable Sky Originals to Sky’s customers across Europe.  Across Sky Studios we commission scripted projects directly from independent production companies and work directly with talent to develop and produce projects in-house. 

We are also home to an in-house factual development and production team. This agile approach, backed with world-class commercial, marketing and international distribution capability, means that we are able to bring projects to screen globally, with speed and scale.
