We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.

And we do it all right here at Sky.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize application architecture for performance, security, and reliability.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to support rapid, reliable deployment of infrastructure and services.

  • Monitor and improve the stability and efficiency of infrastructure systems, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless operation.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to implement DevOps best practices and drive a culture of automation.

  • Build custom automation tools to streamline IT operations and improve system management and deployment processes.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong background in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Concourse CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Experience integrating security scans, automated tests, and blue/green or canary deployments.

  • Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub, including workflow strategies and collaboration practices.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to investigate and resolve incidents across complex, large-scale infrastructure, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.

  • Deep knowledge of AWS, including services like ECS, Lambda, IoT Core, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation. Ability to architect scalable, cost-efficient cloud-native solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop custom automation tools to streamline IT operations, infrastructure management, and deployment processes.

  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code and automation using Terraform and configuration management tools.

  • Solid programming experience in any language, such as Ruby, Python, Bash, and Go, used to script, automate, and extend DevOps workflows.

  • Strong Linux system administration skills, with the ability to manage, secure, and optimise environments effectively.
