As a Senior Data Analyst within the Media Strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward Sky’s advertising effectiveness. The role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of best practice guidelines, delivering insight generated from a full range of advanced analytics tools and measurement methodologies. The successful candidate will work alongside the wider team to design, deploy and evaluate marketing tests and integrate results within the wider business.
What you’ll do:
- Create Insight: Support the Measurement Lead with delivery of best practice guidelines, data and insights for media and creative across ATL and digital channels
- Data Pipelines & Dashboards: Build data pipelines and manage dashboards that link various data sources together to enable better understanding and analysis of marketing performance
- In-flight Tracking: Monitor the progress of tests in-flight using media metrics collected via external agencies and digital platforms
- Reporting Results: Analyse test data and measure statistical confidence, supporting the Measurement Lead on the translation of test results into actionable insights
- Statistical Tests: Ensure that tests are conducted with statistical rigour, including running Matched Market Analysis and Power Analysis to determine test feasibility, campaign budgets and test length
- Tool Development: Support the team with developing and improving Testing toolkit including Matched Market Analysis Tool, Power Analysis and Results Analyser across test design and measurement
What you’ll bring:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (Python and SQL in particular), with at least 2+ years of on the job experience
- Experience in database management and building dashboards (Tableau preferred)
- Experience in applying various analytics techniques to extract actionable insights
- Understanding of advanced analytical methodologies, including statistical analysis, knowledge of modelling techniques and building visualisation tools
- Ability to develop strong relationships within the Measurement team, as well as across Media Planning, Marketing, and Econometrics teams
- Desirable: Experience in Advertising Campaign Measurement including: BLS (Brand Lift Surveys), CLS (Conversion Lift Studies), MMM (Marketing Mix Modelling), MTA (Multi-touch Attribution)

Your office space
You will be expected in the office 2-3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (Optional)).

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
