What you'll do

• Work closely with architecture and analysis to translate definitions into great Capability which can be matured and scales well.

• Be proactive and communicative, working closely with the Scrum Master and management to help drive our velocity of Delivery.

• Be a T-Shaped Data engineer supporting end to end delivery through analysis, development and testing

• Being a great team player - Adept at collaborating with colleagues, knowledge transfer and documentation to help service improvement.

• Provide accurate estimates of time needed for development, including dependencies, risks and assumptions.

• Contribute towards defining best practice and standards to ensure consistency of delivery across the team.

What you'll bring

• Knowledge of Cloud products and services, such as Google Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, S3 etc.

• Strong knowledge of Unix, SQL & Python.

• Excellent Data Engineering understanding – Holistic problem solving and interest, varying from something like obfuscation to something like encryption.

• Experience of working within Agile Projects, using Agile methodology and tools.

• Being a great team player - Adept at collaborating with colleagues, knowledge transfer and documentation to help service improvement.

• Not essential, but experience in API development and consumption.
