Want to do the best work of your life? With 24 million customers in 7 countries, make your mark at Europe’s leading media and entertainment brand. A workplace where you can proudly be yourself; our people make Sky a truly exciting and inclusive place to work.

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director (MD) and his Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to shape and communicate our story to the Sky Sports team.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and present strategic plans to the SLT and execute them to support team objectives - in a way that informs, engages, and inspires the wider Sky Sports team.
  • Business partner with the MD and advise the wider SLT on plans around increasing their profile and visibility.
  • Pro-actively adapt Sky wide initiatives for our mostly shift working population and where required, deal with challenges and make recommendations for successful resolutions.
  • Oversee and deliver compelling content on our Sky Sports internal channels as well as managing events and experiences that support our comms objectives (like all staff town halls)
  • Own and deliver change programmes, through the creation of announcements, FAQS and cascade plans, to help people understand the direction of the department.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Sky Sports and Corporate Affairs to ensure a joined-up approach to our initiatives and find opportunities to increase visibility of Sky Sports across wider Sky.

What you'll bring (minimum requirements and demonstratable skills)

  • A strong track record in an Internal Communications role with demonstratable experience setting strategic direction, planning, delivery, events, activations, change management and digital engagement.
  • The ability to independently lead the development and implementation of communication strategies.
  • Experience business partnering an executive in a large complex organisation or being a member of a senior leadership team, with the ability to recommend, influence, and negotiate as well as confidently engage with senior management.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft messages in an engaging way
  • Someone who understands complex audiences and how to engage them (a shift working population in a wider org that does not work shifts)
  • A love of Sports
