Senior Technical Production Manager - Sky Sports

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Production Manager to join Sky Sports Production team.
As a member of Production and Operations Department you will support the Production delivery team as their primary technical point of contact for events, during both planning and delivery, supporting on site as a technical manager where required.
What you'll do:
- Fully understand, manage & be able to articulate all technical solutions and workflows deployed across Sky Sports.
- Manage main supplier relationships from a technical perspective including workflows, logistics and troubleshooting.
- Support sport strands with knowledge and strategic advice that supports implementation of Sky’s technical processes and delivery.
- Lead on applications for delivery of signals between Outside Broadcasts, Sky Studios and/or third parties across all sport strands.
- Collaborate closely with other Sky and Comcast group departments.
- Produce technical documentation and schematics to support our productions, contributing to the event planning sheets.
- Work across all day-to-day projects with the team, as well as on new projects. Work with Head of Production Technology to implement into standard (BAU) practice and establish workflows with the Production Managers.
- Work with our stakeholders, suppliers and other parties in conjunction with strand leads on an ongoing basis to act as the conduit for any technical considerations between the supplier and Sky.
- Embed new companies and facilities on contracts alongside Production Managers. Act as a technical point of contact for those companies and lead on any troubleshooting and follow ups on outside broadcasts.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience of working across sports outside broadcast and studio events at all levels.
- Deep understanding of the current technologies and remote production workflows deployed to support production.
- Strong understanding of contribution technology & applications for delivery of signals between Outside Broadcasts, Sky Studios and/or thirds parties.
- Understanding of industry trends including workflows in software, both on-prem & off-prem in the Cloud, and financial impact.
- A team player with great communication and collaboration skills in-line with Sky’s values at all levels of our business.
- Willing to travel across the UK
