What you'll do:  

As a Senior Test Engineer in Group Digital Platforms, you’ll be pivotal in maintaining the quality of Sky Sports Mobile applications. You will:

• Liaise with product owners and stakeholders to review acceptance criteria and specifications 

• Be able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge in testing within an agile environment and will be able to demonstrate previous successes 

• Be comfortable having technical conversations with developers 

• Define and create new automation test scripts 

• Contribute to the creation and update of the test strategy 

• Contribute to building a culture of collaboration within the test team 

• Contribute to non-functional testing (performance, load, security etc.) 

• Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team, allowing them to be at their best 

• Assist in removing technical impediments encountered by the team 

• Attend, contribute and where appropriate, deputise within Agile ceremonies 

What you'll bring: 

• A strong understanding of the fundamentals of testing and experience in functional testing, using a value-driven approach 

• Proficient in JavaScript, Python, Java or another programming language. 

• Experience with integration testing tools (e.g Postman, Fitnesse, Karate) 

• Design and development experience of test automation frameworks, such as Selenium, TestCafe or Cypress 

• An understanding of non-functional requirements/testing (performance, security, accessibility) 

• Knowhow of the key values and principles of Agile, including purpose of ceremonies and Agile estimating and planning 

• Experience with Espresso/XCUI is beneficial 

• Experience in line management and developing team members is beneficial
