Senior UI Designer

Location for this position is flexible, we are accepting candidates who are able to work Hybrid in either our Osterley Office or Livingston Office.

As a Senior UI Designer at Sky, you'll lead on projects, collaborating with our agents and project delivery teams to craft software that offers a world-class experience and superior service to our customers. Your role is to design user interfaces that captivate, engage, and excite and provide guidance and mentorship to other designers in the team.
 

What you’ll do

• Shape the daily delivery and future UI direction for internal Sky systems, aligning with the broader Sky strategy. Take creative lead on projects, presenting design-work to project stakeholders.

• Establish and advocate design guidelines, best practices, and standards.

• Collaborate with UX designers to ensure UI changes enhance the overall user experience.

• Guide, and provide mentorship to, UI Designer and Associate UI designer

• Work closely with design, product and development teams to create new experiences and refine patterns.Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback.

• Engage with stakeholders at various levels, including product owners and senior managers.

• Promote the value of UI design and user-centered practices across the business.

What you’ll bring

• Mastery in contemporary UCD methodologies. Solid understanding of visual and user-centered design to meet brand and business objectives.

• First-rate attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality designs.

• Experience meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Keen interest in design trends and the ability to translate them into innovative solutions.

• Extensive problem-solving and communication skills, and experience working with UI designers, UX designers, product management, development teams and senior stakeholders.

• Expert knowledge in tools like Figma and other prototyping applications.

• Excellent visual design skills and understanding of user interaction.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving capabilities.

Your Office Base:

Osterley 

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers. 

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon. 

Or Livingston Watermark House 

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston North train station and the town centre. Plus there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
