Software Asset Manager (Datacentre)
An experienced Software Asset Manager with good datacentre software experience. We seek someone with the deep knowledge of Microsoft and at least one other major datacentre vendor.
We are looking for an experienced Software Asset Manager to join our SAM team working with the EUC and Workplace teams covering desktop software
What you’ll do
Manage day-to-day user software requests and Servicenow tickets
Generate reports to identify what software is deployed, used and unused across the business
Identify areas of risk and propose mitigation and optimization opportunities
Be the subject matter expert in matters relating to software license entitlements
Advise on optimization and management of existing license estate
Educate stakeholders and promote license best practice
Maintain the SAM tool (Snow License Manager) to ensure information therein is up-to-date and relevant
What you’ll bring
A Software asset management experience
Knowledge of many common desktop software license models (e.g. Adobe, Microsoft, Jetbrains, Tableau, Autodesk) is a must
Hands-on experience of Servicenow and Snow Licence Manager
Experience in managing and optimising Microsoft and at least one other major data centre vendor on premise and in cloud
Detailed and analytical approach, capable of working with complex commercial information
Process oriented with excellent attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and spoken English and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
Where you’ll work
Our SAM team are based in Sky’s offices in Osterley, West London, however this role could be based in Livingston

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
