Sponsorship Activation Manager - 12 months FTC

The Activation team sits within Sky Media’s Planning Division and is responsible for the creation, sale and account management of over 100 cross-platform sponsorship and contextual advertising partnerships a year across Sky’s “wholly-owned” channels (including Sky One, Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries, Sky Cinema, Sky News and Sky Sports). Sky Media is seeking a Sponsorship Activation Manager (12 months FTC) to manage their relationship with the EFL and other key sponsorship projects on Sky Sports.
What you’ll do:
- Lead Sky Media’s relationship with the EFL’s commercial team, managing the sales process and delivery for sponsorship of EFL competitions on Sky Sports.
- Manage and support other live sponsorship projects on Sky Sports channels.
- Oversee the sales asset creation, creative and compliance approvals, contracting, campaign monitoring and optimisation alongside campaign reporting and activation.
- Build and maintain key internal relationships at Sky to ensure optimal flow of information, setting of expectations and delivery of sponsorship deals.
- Take the lead, alongside the dedicated Activation Executive/Assistant to deliver excellence in account management, ensuring sponsorship deals are trafficked and delivered at an operational level, managing sponsors, media agency and creative agency stakeholders, to ensure Sky Media exceeds expectations.
- Support, and where relevant manage all deal admin that pertains to your allotted channels and platforms. This includes but is not limited to internal comms, pricing, contracts, invoicing, deal tracking and reporting.
What you’ll bring:
- Experienced within the media, sports or entertainment industry, at a media owner or agency.
- Knowledge of Sky’s broadcast channels, platforms and an understanding of the sponsorship marketplace from event sponsorship assets to media sponsorship.
- Proven account management skills – a track record in building and developing long-term relationships with key senior clients, rights holders and media agency decision makers/stakeholders.
- Effective communication, numerical, analytical and presentation skills.
- Excellent project management and prioritisation skills to deliver on multiple projects, often working to tight deadlines.
- Experience in managing and developing direct reports.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to use Landmark and TechEdge is desirable.

Osterley, London (3 days a week in the office)
