Strategic Communications Business Partner

The Strategic Communications Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to CSG’s Service Managing Director and their leadership team, developing and executing strategic communication plans that support the MD’s vision and objectives while aligning with broader organisational goals. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful communication that engages and inspires colleagues.
What you'll do:
1. Strategic Partnership
Act as a proactive, trusted advisor to the MD, providing strategic communication counsel on key initiatives, challenges, and opportunities.
Develop a deep understanding of the MD’s priorities, leadership style, and strategic goals to craft tailored communication strategies.
2. Communication Planning and Execution
Design and deliver internal communication plans that effectively articulate the MD’s vision and align with organisational objectives.
Create compelling content for MD and director led communications
Manage regular communication channels such as town halls, leadership updates, and team briefings
3. Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the MD’s leadership team, HR, and other business functions, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
Act as a bridge between the MD and the wider internal communications team, ensuring local strategies align with global or corporate initiatives.
4. Change and Transformation
Support the MD in driving change initiatives by developing communication plans that engage and guide employees through periods of transformation.
Identify potential challenges or resistance to change and recommend proactive communication strategies to address these.
5. Measurement and Feedback
Regularly assess the impact of communication strategies, gathering feedback and analytics to inform continuous improvement.
Monitor employee sentiment and provide insights to the MD to shape future communication approaches.
6. Thought Leadership
Stay informed about trends and best practices in internal communications, offering innovative ideas to enhance employee engagement and connection.

What you'll bring:
1. Strategic Thinking
Ability to translate complex business objectives into clear and actionable communication strategies
Critical thinking – ability to challenge the status quo from various perspectives
2. Exceptional Communication Skills
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging content tailored to various audiences.
3. Stakeholder Management
Proven experience in managing relationships with senior leaders and influencing
4. Emotional Intelligence
Ability to understand and respond to the needs, emotions, and challenges of different stakeholders.
5. Adaptability and Problem Solving
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and responding to evolving needs.
6. Analytical Skills
Proficiency in measuring the effectiveness of communications and using data to inform decisions.
7. Qualifications and Experience
Significant experience in internal communications in a business partner role.
Experience advising senior leaders and working in a matrixed or complex organisational structure.
Proven track record of delivering impactful communication strategies during periods of change or transformation.
