Sustainability Transformation Manager
Want to do the best work of your life? With 24 million customers in 6 countries, make your mark at Europe’s leading media and entertainment brand. A workplace where you can proudly be yourself; our people make Sky a truly exciting and inclusive place to work.
Sky Zero is our environmental impact programme, our company-wide effort to contribute to a low carbon economy and inspire positive change for people & planet. It’s underpinned by our science-based target to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2018 base year. Our work also ladders up to our parent company.
This is an opportunity to work within Sky’s team of sustainability practitioners, to play a key role in the successful Sky Zero Business Transformation programme, and support Sky’s continued and future ambition.
This role will project manage the Sky Zero business transformation programme, with the working groups across the business driving and tracking progress. You will help drive focus on existing and future drivers of environmental and social impacts, facilitating discovery and discussions at the right levels of the business to drive guidance, sign-off and action.
You will work together with a wonderful combination of supportive and diverse colleagues across the Responsible Business and Broader Bigger Picture Team, other sustainability practitioners across the business, as well relevant teams across our parent company. And of course, peers and partners across our sector.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the Group Head of Responsible Business & Sustainability, the Sustainability Transformation Manager will:
Project manage Sky Zero business transformation workstreams, ensuring good governance, fostering consistent ways of working, and collaboration opportunities across working groups to maximise innovation.
Support Heads of and Directors to deliver one of Sky’s most strategic programmes by running effective governance forums.
Drive progress by influencing stakeholders, tracking actions, scheduling key milestones and ensuring followup.
Support the development of Sky’s annual consolidated carbon longrange plan, work closely with the Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting team to collect data, track project impacts and develop clear presentations that show progress against our targets.
Prepare and shape materials for senior stakeholder and executive meetings, bringing clear insights, helping frame decisions and next steps.
Foster regular engagement with stakeholders across Sky to maintain momentum, uncover new insights and facilitate innovation for people and planet.
Support the delivery of Sky Zerorelated training, guidance and resources, providing environmental expertise where needed — including for content and storytelling teams at Sky across Sports, News, Scripted and Unscripted.
Support the development and delivery of Sky’s nature and human rights strategies, and how they continually weave into the Sky Zero programme.
Manage relationships with key thirdparty partners, such as WWF.
Stay up to date on sustainability trends, regulation and innovation to continually inspire and challenge the business.
What you'll bring:
A clear motivation to make a positive impact for people and planet through business action.
A good working knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting, with curiosity about nature, technology and emerging sustainability topics.
Strong practical skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, to analyse information, track progress and support decision‑making.
Experience managing or delivering change in a complex organisation, such as leading projects, workstreams or change initiatives.
The ability to plan, prioritise and oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring progress, momentum and follow‑through.
Confidence working with senior and diverse stakeholders, using influence, collaboration and sound judgement rather than formal authority.
A pragmatic, thoughtful approach — comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing perspectives and helping teams move forward.
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to translate complex environmental information into practical insights and compelling narratives for non‑specialist audiences.
A delivery‑focused mindset, with an understanding of how sustainability integrates into wider business priorities and commercial realities.
