As a Technical Monitoring Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for collaborating with Product Owners, Developers and Technical Analysts, analyzing functional requirements, and developing a consistent monitoring approach for video transmission workflows. Our team has Group-level responsibility for defining and implementing monitoring in the Origination and Distribution departments, ensuring comprehensive monitoring strategies. 

What you'll do   

• Lead initiatives to drive improvements in monitoring practices, focusing on economic, infrastructural, and labor benefits. 

• Work alongside Solution Architects, Software Developers, Tech Lead and Product Owners to assist the design of reliable and resilient monitoring platforms and services in accordance with industry best practices and in accordance to precise requirements. 

• Support discussions with stakeholders regarding solution development and strategic goals. 

• Analyses operational requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints  

• Oversee the architectural design and implementation of monitoring systems, ensuring an end-to-end vision for monitoring, integrating all stages of the video transmission process. 

• Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring frameworks that align with operational needs. 

• Participates in code reviews as necessary  

• Monitors the performance metrics of the monitoring ecosystem to identify areas for improvement and their effectiveness 

What you'll bring   

• Good spirit to the team and willingness to accept and embrace changes; influence the team positively with energy and passion  

• Knowledge of monitoring configuration on various Event Management Software tools like Dataminer. 

• Proficiency in using and configuring monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, and ELK. 

• Strong skills in scripting languages like Python and  C# to automate monitoring tasks and processes. 

• Ability to drive improvements and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. 

• Visionary approach with the ability to see the big picture and plan accordingly. 

• Knowledge of best engineering practices in terms of resiliency, refactoring, designing and maintaining systems  

• Collaborate with tech lead in technical discussions to drive architectural decisions  

• Experience in AWS cloud development and familiarity with cloud monitoring tools and services such as AWS CloudWatch. 

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines  

• Knowledge of Iac (Infrastructure as Code)  

• Strong understanding of video transmission workflows and monitoring practices.
