Group Digital Platforms works across Sky News and Sky Sports for mobile and web. Our team of Delivery Technical Program & Project Managers work across complex programs with Global reach across Sky and Comcast platforms as well as work more localised within Group Digital Platforms. The products we deliver, support for platform evolution and legacy migrations make this an exciting and fast passed environment to be in.

What you'll do

Operate consistently at TPM6 (Technical Program Manager – band 6) level by demonstrating enterprise-level ownership and impact across highly complex programmes and overall delivery work by:

• Providing direction, setting clear expectations, and ensuring strong execution within their domain of a small matrix managed team,
• Holding Engineering, Product, Architecture, Design, and Program Management partners 
  accountable for operating at their level and delivering with clarity, ownership, and discipline,
• Owning delivery for their area on behalf of Engineering, driving programs to completion, surfacing risks early, and maintaining tight cross-functional alignment,
• Developing quarterly plans and provide clear communication of last and next quarter commitments including preparation and ground work in order to achieve early alignment
• Escalates effectively, providing crisp context, clear recommendations, and visibility into risks and blockers,
• Building strong cross-functional partnerships across Product, Engineering, Design, Architecture, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and momentum,
• Operating at a senior level within their scope, connecting their team’s work to broader business priorities and influencing outcomes across adjacent areas.

What you'll bring:

• Proven commercial experience in project/programme management experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment,
• Matrix or direct line management experience, 
• Clear examples of senior level governance, stakeholder and partnership management,
• Ability to contribute and drive people initiatives to drive and grow teams,
• Highly skilled and experienced at complex project planning, QRAID management,
• Mitigation – get behind the problem early and provide tactical or strategic solutions by working with teams,
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.

Your office space: 

Osterley, Leeds or Livingstone based (Group Digital Platforms team is based in Leeds and this would be advantageous but not essential).  

Leeds:

Leeds is home to two Sky offices; our contact centre and digital tech hub at Whitehall, and our Central Square customer sales centre right at the heart of the city. Our modern spaces, with subsidised cafes and dedicated break-out spaces, provide a balance for our hybrid working teams. Need a break? You can blow off steam over a game of pool or table tennis, or stay fit with local gym discounts

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed, and even get pampered at our beauty salon. 

Livingston Watermark House:

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston North train station and the town centre. Plus there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
