Join the TV Commercial Team & lead on the development and execution of proposition & pricing strategies to deliver Sky’s TV sales targets while optimising customer value. Lead the creation of insight led campaigns, performance analysis, management of budgets, and oversee RTM execution of your plan.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within our TV Commercial Team, influencing the growth and commercial strategy for Sky Stream and Future Products.
As a Commercial Manager for TV, you will work on the commercial strategy and planning for Sky TV on our new Sky Stream and Sky Glass platforms, working with the Finance, Trading, Marketing and sales channel teams to improve business performance and incorporate learnings into future plans.
What you'll do:
Responsibility for the development and implementation of Sky’s acquisition strategy to drive demand for Sky products across TV portfolio (Stream, Q, Glass) utilising owned & paid for media channels.
Responsibility for defining the proposition strategy for Sky TV, monitoring the market and ownership for delivery of annual/ quarterly plans.
Work collaboratively with sales channels to help set targets, review performance & profitability and remove any barriers to sale.
Build and nourish strong cross-functional relationships with Insights, Prems & products, Marketing, Sales channels, and Finance teams to ensure propositions are commercially viable, clearly understood and will generate demand.
Support the development of business cases and commercial sales views for new propositions, enhancements to existing props &/or mitigation options.
In depth market analysis and insight generation to identifying opportunities for future growth and competitive propositions.
Monitor and report on weekly demand and sales performance, spotting trends, opportunities and risks and presenting this to senior leaders within the business.
Lead the go to market plans for new product developments within Sky with the Propositions Team to produce commercial strategies, input into business cases, and incorporate into targets.
Develop and nurture strong working relationships with colleagues in UK to ensure proposition and GTM alignment, where required.
What you'll bring:
We require someone with strong commercial acumen, an understanding of customer motivations & insights and translating these into compelling propositions to achieve commercial targets.
Experienced marketing professional with a background in proposition development.
Trading mentality and able to work at pace, challenge and drive results, and track record of success. Comfortable working to sales targets and measuring performance.
Great communication and stakeholder management skills, experience of working with and influencing stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
Ability to draw simple conclusions from datasets in Excel and curate PowerPoint presentations outlining the insight, story & future plans.
Confident in clearly communicating results, insights and business case recommendations for future activity to a range of stakeholders.
Passion & agent for change – constant focus on bringing new ideas to the table for growth and confident to try new things & agitate for change within the business
Workstack management – comfortable working independently to multiple deadlines
