Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, SkyQ to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate.

We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.

And we do it all right here at Sky.

Role/ Team overview

CxO Products UK is an operational team working across some of Sky’s most popular On Demand areas such as Home pages, Kids, Catch Up TV and Sky Cinema. We work closely with merchandising teams to ensure that Sky customers are served the very best content recommendations across all our platforms (Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, Sky Go and Sky+). As we work with imagery, synopses and other metadata, accuracy and attention to detail are vital for the role, as is an ability to work well with other teams. Whilst the role is mainly focused on working within our scheduling systems, there are opportunities for creative individuals to contribute to the editorial vision of the On Demand service. As a member of the CxO Products UK team you’ll help manage:

  • Working with editorial teams to implement their strategy within various content management systems.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with other key parts of the organisation such as Media Management, Marketing, Stills, Linear scheduling teams, Compliance and Platform Control.

  • Reviewing the user interface to ensure content is working correctly and ensuring that the best possible images and synopses are being surfaced.

  • Working alongside technical teams to troubleshoot issues and liaising with them on system improvements.

  • Having the imagination and foresight to challenge and change the way On Demand works, as well as giving ideas for improvements to the proposition.

What You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable excellent attention to detail, an inquisitive mind and the confidence to challenge inconsistencies or anomalies

  • A solid background in TV scheduling or similar operational role.

  • Good working knowledge of a range of VOD platforms and a passion for content.

  • The ability to investigate time-critical issues and work with a number of stakeholders to find solutions.

  • Proven organisational skills, effective workload management, with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing situations.

  • A talent for fostering relationships with stakeholders and collaborating in a large team.

  • An ability to communicate complex situations to stakeholders with wide ranging skill sets.

  • A solid background in data entry and system inputting

  • A curiosity and enthusiasm to challenge and improve the status quo, and to ensure that the customer experience is the very best it can be.
