This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within our Sky Media Team 

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Co-ordinate with website and app product teams to ensure changes do not affect ad-serving capability (plan, test and implement). 

  • Ensure sales & ad-ops are fully briefed/trained before release of new products/placements.  

  • Ensure SDKs for mobile apps are implemented & maintained across mobile estate.  

  • Advise on current Sky Media system infrastructure and use for future advertising technology projects.  

  • Troubleshoot issues that are preventing or incorrectly ad-serving on live products and 3rd party delivery/tracking tags (HTML/JavaScript).  

  • Present information & updates back to Digital Ops and the wider sales team at regular intervals 

  • Ownership of Ad stack and managing configurations (Google ad manager etc...) 

  • Requirement gathering skills, and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications 

  • Teamwork, partnership, and collaborative skills, with ability to align divergent points of view and stakeholders 

  • Develop frameworks for testing for new product releases 

  • Document product enhancements and processes and in the creations of training material. strong understanding of ad ops processes and ability to translate business requirements to product configuration for optimum revenue generation 

  • Work with product on new features, technical functionalities; advise on best possible technical integration solutions 

  • Collaboration with developers to ensure correct implementation of products 

  • End to end testing to ensure products are fit for release 

  • Third party ad integrations: managing relationships, technical implementation, testing 

  • Work with internal teams/ad ops to identify and develop solutions that improve processes / create efficiency 

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Specialist knowledge of the Digital advertising market  

  • An understanding of Ad Ops & Tech and Online ad-serving systems (display & video), online advertising sales systems  

  • understanding of inventory creation and maintenance  

  • Experience of booking/process tools (PIO), SDKs & Mediation layers - Knowledge of digital ad-tag structure and products such as web, video, mobile, rich media types, 3rd party advertising  

  • Demonstrable experience of working within digital advertising/marketing is essential 

  • Awareness of TCF and Consent Management Platforms (CMP) 

  • Strong communication skills as well as creating confluence pages and documentation on products/ platforms etc 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Understanding of Javascript, HTML, XML, CSS3 and cookies 

  • Understanding of VAST and VPAID specs 

  • Responsibility of training 

  • Testing/Proxy tools like Charles, Fiddler, and Wireshark 

  • Awareness of Support processes and systems such Zendesk  

  • Experience of analytical systems such as GA, Tableau , CMP
