This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within our Technical Compliance Team. The Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that the systems and processes across Sky’s Fixed Voice & Broadband and Mobile products comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and that planned changes do not impact on that compliance.

We maintain a control framework to record and manage Sky’s compliance activities, performing analysis and risk assessments, as well as taking corrective action where required. Our focus is to always do the right thing for our customers, ensuring our people, processes and systems are fully compliant and consistently delivering the best service possible.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Technical Compliance team objective of ensuring Sky remains compliant to the various COMREG regulations and schemes, relating to the delivery of Sky’s retail Mobile and Fixed Comms products.

  • Interpret and support the implementation of regulatory requirements.

  • Perform proactive compliance monitoring on technical regulations and schemes, recording evidence of compliance in the team’s Compliance Control framework.

  • Identify compliance risks emanating from multi-layered systems and processes used to deliver Comms product. Ability to undertake root cause analysis of customer issues, and proactive risk management.

  • Liaise with stakeholders around the business to identify and implement robust controls to mitigate compliance risks.

  • Oversee the resolution of compliance breaches and corrective customer actions.

  • Where business change is being introduced that potentially impacts on compliance, work with relevant teams to communicate and deliver on compliance requirements, with a customer-friendly focus.

  • Utilise bespoke data sets to support team reporting, ensuring data is accurately represented and provides appropriate and valuable insight into regulatory impact.

  • Support on the responses to regulatory information requests. This includes performing checks and analysis to ensure that the information being provided is accurate.

What You'll Bring

  • A working knowledge of processes and systems that are used to deliver Comms products, and associated product offerings, ideally gained through previous experience working within the telecoms industry.

  • Ability to understand the interoperability of systems and processes in a large scale organisation.

  • An extensive understanding of all applicable regulation pertaining to the provision of a Comms offering on both a domestic and European level, their impacts to the business and the principles of compliance.

  • Experience performing complex analysis using customer management systems and using the outputs to problem solve, as well as experience in presenting issues and proposed solutions to senior audiences.

  • Experience creating and building stakeholder friendly and informative compliance reports, ideally through Tableau and/or advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Some experience in interrogating data and interpreting reports, to help identify trends and compliance issues.

  • Desirable (but not essential): SQL skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to communicate confidently and credibly to stakeholders at all levels of the business.

  • Ability to work autonomously and take a pro-active approach to new work, acting with curiosity for new ideas and perspectives.

  • Well-developed attention to detail.

  • Flexibility/adaptability to manage new areas of expertise as businesses change and develop.
