What you'll do
- Strategy: Take charge of developing and evolving the Group's data governance strategy and policies, aligning it with wider Comcast initiatives and industry best practices with a phased roadmap that incrementally and efficiently embeds Data Governance across Sky.
- Policies: Lead the development & adoption of comprehensive data policies, standards & controls to ensure data integrity and measurable compliance across the Group, supporting business and data colleagues to interpret and embed data governance policies and standards
- Stakeholders: Partner with and support Data Domain Leads in their engagement with business stakeholders on interpreting, implementing, and assuring data governance and data management best practice.
- Collaboration: successfully collaborate closely with business units to provide expert guidance on data governance, aligning strategies with business objectives and needs.
- Measures: Define processes, organizational structure, and roles responsible for data governance, ensuring clear accountability and responsibility, developing measures & monitoring, fostering a culture of ownership.
- Knowledge: Maintain good knowledge of current best practice on regulatory issues, practices and methods assisting with consumer / regulatory investigations
What you'll bring
- Demonstrable experience in data governance or compliance, strategy development, and execution with a proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive data governance/compliance strategies and frameworks through successfully managing roadmaps for largescale organizations, data governance forums and ownership structures.
- Proficiency in formulating policies and standards to guide data governance practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements with a strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, Federal Data Protection Act, and Data Protection Act
- Communicating solutions, ideas, and suggestions to a variety of senior level partners effectively and comprehensibly, helping steer and gain agreement for addressing sophisticated challenges. Ability to implement monitoring mechanisms and report on data governance assurance.
- Results-oriented, diligent, champions best practices for data compliance, governance & quality supporting innovative approaches to data governance and data management
- Brilliant relationship management and influencing skills at all levels and to very differing audiences whilst exercising discretion on sensitive & confidential matters
- Proven experience of leading a team coupled with a demonstrable ability to empower as well as the ability to mentor and grow individuals within your team. Skills in building a team where none exists, ensuring the right mix of knowledge and skills comes together and capable of directing others and developing their knowledge and skillsets.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.
