What you'll do 

• Contribute to the delivery of applications and software that support the Playout Operational Workflow 

• Be part of the planning, design, development, enhancement and implementation of Schedule & Content centred software solutions. 

• Develop new solutions to integrate into our Operational Management System in a team environment 

• Deliver enhancements including user-requested features end to end from design to implementation. 

• Contribute to the strategic development of the Playout Apps Platform. 

• Provide software expertise and knowledge in support of users and shift support teams. 

• Provide second line support as business needs demand to maintain stability of the Playout Apps Platform and associates other applications. 

• Step up to take on responsibilities of the Team Leader when required by projects and during times of absence. 

• Develop a good awareness of the Operational Working practices of the Playout Operational team to be able to ensure solutions are a good fit 

• Maintain, enforce and progress relevant programmatic stands and processes such a continuous integration, unit testing and source control. 

What you'll bring 

• Software development experience using C# .NET 

• Web development using Javascript, NodeJS and React 

• Experience with microservice and event driven architecture 

• Deployment to Cloud services and Kubernetes 

• Appreciation of software unit testing processes. 

• An understanding of SQL Server and code first design with Entity Framework. 

• A degree in either Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics is not essential but would be desired. 

• Creative problem-solver; ability to learn new technologies and apply these quickly to the business. 

• Ability to communicate ideas and opinions at senior levels. 

• Thrives in a fast-paced and progressive environment.
