Finance Analyst

Job DescriptionYou'll play a key role in helping Sky to deliver its financials, partnering with business stakeholders to interpret and analyse financial performance, and use your influencing skills to provide recommendations on how to drive more value.

What you’ll do: 

 

• Assist with the production of the group monthly consolidated financial information and analysis of our Balance Sheet 

• Analysis and validation of financial reporting across all of Sky’s divisions 

• Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly submissions / disclosures for internal audiences and for our US parent company 

• Communicate regularly with Comcast and local finance teams to deal with any queries and ensure that results can be produced accurately and on time 

• Manage the integrity of the group consolidation process through close liaison with finance teams across the group 

• Compliance with internal governance and controls, ensuring key controls are operating effectively 

• Look for opportunities to standardise and improve reporting processes through systems and automation 

• Get involved in projects which impact reporting/control, providing analysis and assistance to achieve the project aims and objectives 

What you’ll bring:

• You will be a newly qualified finance professional, and will likely have experience of financial accounting and reporting from working in a group financial reporting environment and/or from corporate audit 

• Good knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP 

• Ability to analyse financial data and perform financial modelling 

• Continually look for better ways of doing things and proactively taking ownership to see things through 

• An ability to work independently within a highly controlled and process-driven environment 

• Adaptability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines within a fast changing, high demand environment, with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities 

• Preparation of accounting analysis and delivering insightful financial reports. 

• Efficient and accurate delivery of reporting for a variety of stakeholders 

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

• Building great relationships with colleagues across the group’s businesses and territories
