As a member of Group Controllership team, you’ll help produce the group’s consolidated financial results and deliver high quality financial information to internal audiences and our parent company, Comcast. You’ll apply critical thinking and analysis to interpret monthly results and understand key drivers. You’ll also help drive standardisation across the divisions, through work with finance teams across the business to analyse and understand our financial accounting and reporting processes. You’ll ensure that reporting is underpinned by a robust and well-developed control framework.
What you’ll do:
Assist with the production of the group monthly consolidated financial information and analysis of our Balance Sheet
Analysis and validation of financial reporting across all of Sky’s divisions
Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly submissions / disclosures for internal audiences and for our US parent company
Communicate regularly with Comcast and local finance teams to deal with any queries and ensure that results can be produced accurately and on time
Manage the integrity of the group consolidation process through close liaison with finance teams across the group
Compliance with internal governance and controls, ensuring key controls are operating effectively
Look for opportunities to standardise and improve reporting processes through systems and automation
Get involved in projects in Sky which impact reporting/control, providing analysis and assistance to achieve the project aims and objectives
What you’ll bring:
You will be a newly qualified finance professional, and will likely have experience of financial accounting and reporting from working in a group financial reporting environment and/or from corporate audit
Good knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP

An ability to work independently within a highly controlled and process-driven environment
Working within a fast changing, high demand environment, with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities

Team overview:
The Group Controllership team is responsible for reporting high quality, accurate and timely financial results and disclosures of the Sky group to Comcast. The team also applies financial accounting expertise to review the financial results and contributes to the maintenance of a robust control environment. We work closely with our parent company, as well as our divisional Controllership and finance teams. We embrace a culture of continuous improvement to ensure processes are efficient and effective and are always looking for ways to do things better.
