Sky News is looking for a journalist to join on a 12-month contract as Live Blogger and report on all the biggest UK, international and political stories. Whether it’s posting live updates on global conflicts, writing features for our award-winning Money blog, or responding quickly to breaking news, you will spot top lines and write about them engagingly, accurately and quickly – helping us achieve our goal of being “best at live”.

Please note this is a shift-based role.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven Experience in Live Reporting: Demonstrated ability to provide real-time updates on fast-moving events.
  • A first-class journalist with a track record of finding, writing and producing stories to a high standard for recognised news organisations – whether national or local.
  • Experience in monitoring multiple news sources and social media platforms to gather and verify information quickly.
  • Experience handling breaking news scenarios.
  • Ability to produce clean, engaging copy at pace and under pressure.
